The Thelemic Banishing first appeared on the Knights of the Temple Lodge S.O.T.O. website about 3 years ago in a slightly different form. The idea was to use verses and words from Liber AL vel Legis as opposed to traditional formats. The formula of previous rituals never really suited me and felt deeply impersonal. The original had a very longwinded explanation of the symbolism that I opted to throw out and present the ritual itself. I hope you enjoy.
Thelemic Banishing Ritual
1. Mix Abramelin Oil and water. Dipping your thumb in the mixture recite: I am uplifted in thine heart and the kisses of stars rain hard upon thy body. Anointing your chakra points recite for pure will unassuaged of purpose and delivered from the lust of result is every way perfect.
2. Aspire to the crown visualizing a divine white brilliance. Reach up into the light and draw it down to the heart Chakra reciting: In the sphere I am everywhere the center. Take a deep breath and visualize the light in your heart turning a bright gold color and throw your arms out in the sign of the cross and recite: As she the circumference is nowhere found. Raise hands into the air, aspiring to Nuit and vibrate: AMEN
3. Face the East and trace the banishing Earth pentagram while reciting: For pure will, unassuaged of purpose and delivered from the lust of result is every way perfect. Charge the pentagram with the godname Therion. Repeat in each quarter with the following god names: North is Nuit, West is Babalon and South is Hadit.
4. Visualize the Unicursal Hexagram in your Heart and above and below you, reinforcing your sphere of influence and recite: Remember all ye that existence is pure joy, all the sorrows are but as shadows, they pass and are done, there is that which remains. Beauty and strength, leaping laughter and delicious languor, force and fire are of Us. Vibrate: ARARITA,THELEMA, ABRAHADABRA.
5. Repeat step 2.
This ritual has proven effective by many aspirants I meet and is an excellent bridge to the more advanced Star Ruby. It also presents the formula of sealing as taught in the Society Ordo Templi Orientis of Marcelo Motta.
